I started reading The Indian Clerk, which I have wanted to read for a while because—novel about math! I didn't realize it was historical fiction until about the 3rd chapter, when Hardy's love of the male form became inescapably obvious. I had a Canon Compliance Brigade moment, and proceeded to look up G. H. Hardy on Wikipedia—which makes no mention he is gay. He's not even in the LGBT people from England category (usually accurate).

WTF? A quick Google landed me on one of those copy-off-Wikipedia-and-repackage-it sites, which said Hardy was gay. So I checked G. H. Hardy's talk page on Wikipedia and there's a huge long discussion (from 2006) about how Hardy's sexuality should be removed from his article. Some of the arguments were sane and reasonable, but others included:

• it wasn't relevant
• it's "unnatural and aberrant" and shouldn't be associated with a great man like Hardy (eleventyone!)

As someone wrote back, "Without people like that, Turing could be still alive."

I went to Rocky Mountain Flatbread Company with xelyssa today, and afterwards we came to my house so I could hand over more crack the next two volumes of La Esperança. I also bombarded her virgin ears with classic Tenipuri songs like "Wonderful Valentine's Kiss", "Charm Point is the Mole", "Summer Eyeglasses", "Lusty Invitation to the Shore", "Hardcore Soul", and "Golden Pair Forever". And also "Super Lover", which I now regret very much.

Now that Aquarian Age a.k.a. Juvenile Orion is being made into a live-action film starring Sakurada Dori, I am making a wish list of other things I would like to see as a feature film. Number 1: Ai no Kusabi. I condone any judicious editing as long as there is Iason and Riki.

When I thought "I need to make oblivious2world a card", I remembered a little scrap I had lying around. It doesn't look that bad, so I coloured it :3

My mother is browsing her blogs. and I hear familiar tinkles—what song is this? The tinkles develop into electronic tension, crescendoing into a familiar refrain:

I had a LING midterm today, subtitled "Passive in English and German". For example, "Ich weiss dass ihm geholfen wird" (I know that he was helped). I now know more about German structure than I do German. The midterm was easier than I expected, so I'm panicking. Did I screw up so badly I couldn't even notice?

Death Note 3: The animation is a bit worse in this one. The juxtaposition of Light's everyday life and the death of criminals demonstrates Light's heartlessness. All the action is this anime is spoken, yet it doesn't feel long-winded. Light sounds like someone's who's tired of the world, and patronizing. (Mamo!! *ahem*) Interestingly, Light's birth year is 1986, which is most likely his original birthday in the manga. The manga is set in the near-future, yet the anime is already operating in the past. [/obligatory DN]
