Not again :x
I really didn't expect it to happen - Nitta Youka plagiarising - out-and-out tracing - poses, clothes and scenes from fashion magazines (proof here might be NWS). Manga artists often use photos for reference, but not quite this blatantly.

The last time something like this happened, Suetsugu Yuki was accused of plagiarising several poses from the popular manga Slam Dunk. (Someone on 2ch discovered it. The internet does wonders.) The publisher of Suetsugu's work issued an apology, and ceased printing all of her work.

Nitta Youka's more popular than Suetsugu was, and the manga in question has been animated - pulling the plug won't be easy :x

(As an aside: Even with manga, Western fandom is usually pretty OMG stop being so hard on my favourite writer for plagiarising!! It doesn't matter if s/he did a little something bad. This is true even of other people like entertainers and their indiscriminaces. But Japanese fandom's always like: you did something WRONG, we will NEVER forgive you. The NewS underage drinking incident is a recent example.

The Chinese are like that too, I think. Everyone hates Zhang Ziyi and Gong Li for being "women who bring shame on the Chinese", "act completely like Westerners", "wear revealing clothing", "using their fame to get (Western) boyfriends", and "having multiple boyfriends". - There's another word for that last one, but let's not go there.)

Wow. That is . . . a lot of plagiarism. Those examples are endless. Don't people understand that copying is bad?

Oh...very, very obvious~

I thought some Chinese didn't like Zhang Ziyi and Gong Li because they were in "Memoirs of a Geisha"?

They don't like Zhang Ziyi and Gong Li for that movie as well, but the hating thing started long before that.

Ugh, plagiarism should be taken seriously.

Heh, acting "Western." Reminds me of blacks who criticize other blacks for acting "white."

O_O That's shocking. I love her work, especially Haru wo Daiteita. I wonder what's going to happen as a result.

Wow, I've seen SOME of the examples before (like 2 or 3) but not that many.

Japan is like the complete opposite of Hollywood! Over here a scandal = INSTANT POPULARITY!

And I thought Chinese people didn't like Zhang Ziyi and Gong Li because they both (apparently) slept with the (same) director for their breakout roles. Or something like that. :P

Sleeping with the director is an age-old tradition. I'm not surprised if there were rumours floating around that I didn't hear about :p

Some of the plagiarism accusations are a bit stretched, especially the McGeneric man-groping-partner pictures, but some of them are really really obvious. o_O Weird.

who is this artist? Being not biased, I think some of the plagiarism is a bit stretched. And of course I don't see what the big deal is, since alot of them she did draw with her own characters, but too the ideas from actual photo's.

I mean, heck. Story lines get recycled all the time, and of course there are generic character designs.

One of the more popular BL artists.

Pics are more obvious hat, while story lines are not. (If only people started going after story line plagiarism, haha.) And also, taking ideas from photos is a lot different than tracing and nearly replicating the photos (検証96 on that page I linked).
